If you love Jozi, you will love Maboneng! This Maboneng Engagement Shoot was so much fun with this super in love couple, Gareth and Elige.
Read the rest of the blog to find out more about their beautiful love story.
Our Love Story:
“When I close my eyes, I can still see Gareth as the King of our high school’s dance floor asking the girls for a dance and him running out on the rugby field as captain with that same passion in his heart.
Little did I know by then that one day that same man will become my husband and that our feelings for each other will catch fire!
Gareth and I knew each other since school. We never dated during those times and after school, attended different varsities.
During my final varsity exams (times made up out of living in a robe, with a pony-tail and coffee, behind a desk, studying) Gareth made contact after years and invited me to be his partner at one of his friend’s weddings.
Ever since that day, not a single day has passed up until today, that we haven’t spoken to each other.
On the 1st of January 2018, after all the festivities of the holiday season, the last thing I imagined was having a BIG celebration on the first day of the New Year!
I should have made the math when Gareth turned down the idea to go to Swaziland and play golf!
He took me to a beautiful farm instead, with a dam and a pier saying that we can do some fishing today.
He was wearing a fishing jacket. He walked to the bakkie to “take out his fishing rods”.
He came back with a picnic basket with my favorite treats and without the fishing attire (dressed all neatly;)
When I opened the salmon spread, there was no salmon spread inside!;)…He went on his knee.
It was the happiest day of my life. Just us, nature and pure love.
Maboneng Engagement Shoot:
All back in Jozi! Maboneng. It was so cold! I’m sure my goosebumps will show on some of the photos!
Ever more a reason to hold each other tight and to let the love warm us from the inside!
My tip: Have fun! Just let it go and enjoy being in love.
