Oh, how Schalk and I fell in love with New Zealand’s scenery.
We traveled to New Zealand to do a destination wedding, you can view the beautiful wedding here: Reme and Jeremy’s Wedding. This is why I LOVE destination weddings so much because we get to see the world.
Yeah, we don’t really make any profit from destination weddings because we spend all of it on traveling afterward but we love it.
What I loved the most about New Zealand was the outdoor lifestyle. Note: we went in summer so we were able to camp and do outside adventure. The scenery of New Zealand is really out of this world.
Our day at Mount Cook was probably my favorite day (and of course the Milford Sound, but more of that later.) We camped at the White Horse Campsite where we literally had the most spectacular view of the mountain outside of our tent.
I would recommend this campsite to everyone, just note that there are no showers so remember your dry shampoo haha.
The next morning we woke up with the sounds and view of an avalanche, talk about adventure right?
The Milford Sound alone is reason enough to visit New Zealand. It’s really breathtakingly beautiful. We enjoyed a cruise while staring at this scenery.
Elegant cruise on Lake Te Anau
This boat cruise experience is definitely a memory I will never forget! ‘Faith’ is this romantic old sailboat all the way from Scotland, she survived world war 2, the open ocean, she even had Winston Churchill as a passenger and now she enjoys her retirement as a luxury cruise experience for tourists traveling in Te Anau.
When visiting New Zealand this is a must!!! This was one of our favorite days! Adam and George did a fantastic job as captains and hosts.
Book them on Airbnb.
We also had a wonderful time with friends on the farm in Gore. We met Dream’s twin, walk Dunedin flat for a day and went on extreme adventures in Queenstown. Wow, what an experience!
